WARE-WINTER

The marriage of Dawn Denise Winter to Albert Paul Ware, Jr., took place on October 2, 1993, in an evening ceremony at Valley View Wesleyan Church in Roanoke. Pastor Randy Garner performed the ceremony. A dance reception was held at the Roanoke Womens Club immediately after the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George G. Winter, of Roanoke. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert P. Ware, of Martinsville.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Bridesmaids were Melissa Simpson and Jennifer Keffer, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Page Green, of Martinsviile, and Jacqueline Anne Gentry. Honorary attendants included the bride's sister, Doretta Winter. Best man was Paul Traynham, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Donnie Forsythe, of Richmond, Steve Hammer, of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Clint Switzer, cousin of the bride. Karen Morgan tended the guest book, and Deidre Craggett handed out programs. Harry Traynham, of Bethesda, Maryland, sang a solo dedicated to the bride from the groom.

The bride wore a white sheath wedding gown with a detachable chapel-length train. The sweetheart neckline was accented by full leg-o-mutton sleeves and was embellished with lace, sequins, seed pearls, and iridescent beading. The waist-length headpiece, featuring individually hand-sewn pearls, was designed by the bride. The bride's wedding ring set was designed and made by the groom specially for the bride. Photography was by Warren Gilbert and Ed Berry. Bridal consultant was Jane Pendleton of Wedding Elegance.

The bride is a graduate of Northside High School, Virginia Western Community College, and is employed by the law firm of Magee, Foster, Goldstein and Sayers. The groom is a graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School and Stewarts International School for Jewelers. He is a goldsmith in Roanoke. After a Southern Caribbean cruise, the couple will make their home in Roanoke.
