SOUTHERN ANNIVERSARY

Exie and Lemuel Southern, of Athens, were honored on their 75th wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 28, 1993, with an Open House, given by their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. The celebration was held at the Fellowship Hall of the First Church of the Nazarene on the Oakvale Road. The couple was married on August 25, 1918, by Rev. Morris of the United Methodist Church of Oakvale. He is 93, she is 91. They have six children, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
