OBIT HAAS, AGNES J.

HAAS, Agnes J., 85, of Christiansburg, died Saturday afternoon, October 2, 1993 at her home. Born in Long Island, N.Y., she later moved to New Jersey and for the past twelve years, lived in Virginia. She was a member of Tadmor-Granite Chapter #602, Order of the Eastern Star, New York for 66 years and was a past president of Women's Society of Christian Service, Park Methodist Church and past president of the Women's Club of North Hudson, Weehawken, N.J. She was a volunteer at Montgomery Regional Hospital for eight years and a member of the local chapter of AARP. Surviving are two daughters, Janet A. Hansen and husband, Robert H. Hansen of Christiansburg, Virginia A. Roberts and husband, Hartwell Roberts of Grahams Forge; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, October 4, 1993 at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Graveside services and burial will be Wednesday in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the New River Valley Hospice, 1806 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne.
