\ GEORGE BONNAND has joined the faculty of New River Community College as an instructor in Virginia's only course in tool-and-die moldmaking.
He is from California and has an associate degree in business and machine technology from Orange Coast College.
Bonnand also attended California State University at Long Beach, where he received his bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial arts and technology education.
\ AILEEN FLETCHER has been promoted to full-time status as an art and photography instructor.
She has been a part-time instructor for the past 15 years.
Fletcher holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University in Durham, N.C., in studio art and a master's degree in art and community college education from Virginia Tech.
\ NITA LINZEY of Blacksburg has joined the faculty as a full-time instructor of biology.
She attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, N.Y. and received her degrees in biology and chemistry.
She also has a master's degree in microbiology from the University of North Carolina.
\ MARFESA CLARK, former administrative assistant for continuing education, has recently accepted the position of regional adult education specialist-program planner at New River Community College.
Her new duties will involve supervising adult basic education programs in the counties of Pulaski, Floyd, Giles and the city of Radford.
\ Eighteen persons have recently completed geriatric nursing assistant training.
They are: SHERRIE CAMPBELL, SHANNON CUSTER, MELISSA NEEL and JUNE WHITE from Dublin; MICHELE CANTRELL and VIRGINIA COLE from Christiansburg; LOUISE COX, ANNETTA HAYES and PHILLIP OLLINGER from Radford; MARTHA DAVIS from Newbern; KELLY FANNIN and DOMMETAE JARRELLS from Pearisburg; SHERRI PHILLIPS and LISA RIDER from Pulaski; MARVIS HOPKINS, MARCUS McFARLAND, DEBORA SMITH and MELISSA VANCE from Blacksburg.
