LECTURE ON RAPE OCT. 19 AT TECH

Lilian Robinson, an English Professor at Virginia Tech, will be the guest speaker at the Garvin Lecture Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the recital salon at Squires Student Center.

The topic of the lecture is "Representing Rape - The Heart of Whiteness." Robinson will discuss the myths of interracial rape and sexual violence. She is currently working on a book to be called "Mixed Company: Cultural Representations of Race and Rape."
