OBIT CARDWELL, JAMES FRANKLIN
CARDWELL, James Franklin, 65, of Pembroke, died Sunday morning, October 3,
1993, at his home in the S.A. Robinson Apartment Complex. Born in War, W.Va.,
he was a son of the late Albert and Louise Bowling Cardwell. Mr. Cardwell was
a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean War and a retired employee of the
Hoechst-Celanese plant at Narrows. He is survived by two sons, James Franklin
Cardwell Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., Larry Wayne Cardwell of New Zion, S.C.; one
daughter, Cathy Elaine Dolinger of Pembroke; four brothers, Raymond Cardwell
of Narrows, Curtis Cardwell of Bluefield, W.Va., Albert Cardwell of Atlanta,
Ga., Clifford Cardwell of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Margaret Cardwell of
Bluefield, W.Va., Annie Santchez of Detroit, Mich; six grandchildren. Memorial
services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of the S.A.
Robinson Apartments in Pembroke. The family requests that in lieu of flowers,
contributions be made to the Building Fund of Riverview Baptist Church in
Ripplemeaad. The Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke, is in charge of the
arrangements.
