OBIT PENIX, RUBY BERRY

OBIT PENIX, Ruby Berry, 75, of Glasgow, died Sunday, October 3, l993, at the home of her son in Dundalk, Md. Mrs. Penix was born in Rockbridge Co. on July 12, l9l8, a daughter of the late Emmit and Elizabeth Flint Hayes. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Women of the Moose. She is survived by two sons, Donald Lee Berry, Lexington, Va. and Lawrence H. Berry, Dundalk, Md.; a daughter, Virginia Berry Johnson, Balitmore, Md.; l2 grandchildren, and l0 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 6, l993, at ll a.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Barton Hellmuth officiating with burial to follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, Lexington. The family will receive friend Tuesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
