His successor messes around with a saxophone. Now George Bush is hitting the country music circuit.

Bush is scheduled to appear live on The Nashville Network's "Nashville Now" show next Tuesday when it originates from the Fiesta Texas theme park in San Antonio. It will be the final week of shows for "Nashville Now" host Ralph Emery, who is retiring.

"Her friends said it was weird to watch her stand in front of a judge and say, `I do.' 'Cause usually when Shannen Doherty stands in front of a judge, she says, `Not guilty.' " said Arsenio Hall, on the "Beverly Hills, 90210" star's whirlwind wedding to Ashley Hamilton.

New York City critics were unanimously glowing in their reviews of Paul Simon's and Art Garfunkel's "Concert Event of a Lifetime," which continues through month's end at the Paramount.

But one noted that while the duo "perform together with a familiar ease, there is the slight, almost clenched-teeth aura of a divorced couple who are being gracious in front of the children."

Garth Brooks, who fretted over the pressures of combining superstardom and fatherhood, is about to become a daddy for the second time. The singer's wife, Sandy, is expecting again. Daughter Taylor Mayne Pearl is 15 months old.
