GEOLOGY SEMINARS PLANNED AT VA. TECH

The Virginia Tech Geology Department will sponsor two geological sciences seminars this week. Thursday at 4 p.m., Pere Santanach of the University of Barcelona, Spain, will speak on "Geologic Evolution of the Pyrenean Mountain Chain." His talk will be held in 2044 Derring Hall on the Virginia Tech campus.

Friday at 4 p.m., Matt Mikulich, chief geophysicist with Chevron Corporation, will talk on geophysical technology. His presentation will be in 4052 Derring Hall.

Refreshments will be served both days at 3:30 p.m. in the Museum of Geological Sciences.

These seminars are open to the public.
