OBIT HAMPTON, HELEN FRALIN

HAMPTON, Helen Fralin, 72, of Route 5, Box 152, Rocky Mount, died Sunday, October 3, 1993, at Lewis-Gale Hospital, Salem. She was born July 14, 1921, in Rocky Mount. She was retired from Bassett Furniture Company with 13 years of service and was a member of Masjid An-nur, Rocky Mount. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Fralin and Della Tyree Fralin Wade. She is survived by her husband, Watt Hampton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Eddie Muse, Rocky Mount, Shirley and Larry Turner, Rocky Mount; one son, Thomas Eddie Preston, Stratford, Conn.; eight grandchildren, Lisa Muse, Betina Muse, Larry Turner Jr., Toure Turner, Gregory Muse, all of Rocky Mount, Annette Smith, Boones Mill, Carlton Turner, Roanoke, Kenneth Muse, Henry; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sadie and Robert Tuning, Rocky Mont, Lucy Young, Rocky Mount; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawson and Wren Fralin, Rocky Mount, William and Frances Wade, Columbus, Ohio; sister-in-law, Keva Fralin, Rocky Mount. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 1993, Franklin Memorial Park with Iman Wali El-Amin officiating. Arrangements by Hairston Funeral Home, Martinsville.
