Hall and Becker combined for 19-for-25 shooting for F-C (4-6, 4-5). Lashaun Hairston scored 13 points for Dan River. \

GALAX - Jaclyn Dickens scored 12 of her 17 points on 3-pointers and Tammy Cox and Lauren Spivey combined for 27 points as the Maroon Tide overpowered Narrows in a Mountain Empire District game.
Galax (7-3, 7-2) led by as many as 12 points. Narrows did not have a double-figure scorer.

BUCHANAN - Teresa Hickman scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Knights trounced the Rams for a Pioneer District victory.
James River (5-6, 4-0 took a 15-2 lead in the first quarter and never trailed.

ROCKY GAP - Renay Gardner scored eight of her 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles pulled away for a Mountain Empire District victory.
Auburn (8-2, 7-2) outscored Rocky Gap 20-8 in the final period, after struggling to overcome the absence of Sherry Smith, who missed the game with the flu.
Angie Simpkins had a game-high 26 points for the Eagles and Lori Lyons added 11.
Nancy Tupper led Rocky Gap (5-4, 5-4) with 17 points. Freshman sensation Amanda Clark finished with 13. \
