BHUTTO SEEKS TO BUILD COALITION AFTER VICTORY

Benazir Bhutto's party finished first in national elections Thursday, but still faces the tough task of building a coalition government if she is to reclaim the prime minister's post she lost three years ago.

The election was an impressive comeback for Bhutto, who served from 1988-90 as the first woman to head a modern Muslim state but lost her re-election bid in large part because she was unable to solve the country's economic woes. - Associated Press
