PULASKI MAN KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

A Pulaski man was killed Thursday morning after losing control of his pickup truck on First Street in Radford.

James Posie Vass Jr., 39, of Dora Highway, dies as a result of injuries he sustained in the g:50 a.m. accident.

Vass was on his way to work at New River Castings when his truck crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a utility pole, Radford Police Lt. J.D. Sasser said.

Radford's Major Accident Investigation Team ruled that the wreck occurred because Vass failed to maintain control of his vehicle, Sasser said.
