FOOTBALL-HARGRAVE WHIPS TECH JV, 28-14

Hargrave Military Academy had touchdown plays of 69 and 80 yards en route to a 28-14 victory over Virginia Tech's junior varsity team Friday at Moseley Practice Field on Tech's campus.

Hargrave's Anthony Stringfield returned a punt 69 yards for a touchdown and running back Reggie Parker scored on an 80-yard run. Stringfield also caught a 13-yard touchdown pass, and Derrick Dobson returned a Tech fumble 27 yards for a touchdown.

For Tech, quarterback Christian Stillings was 10-for-18 passing for 101 yards, and had an 18-yard touchdown run.

Running back John Thomas led Tech with 79 yards on the ground. Lenarick Thomas had Tech's other touchdown on a 6-yard run.
