Albemarle was coming off a 29-22 loss last week to Group AA Harrisonburg.
After trailing 19-7 at halftime, Fleming (3-3) came back with two straight touchdowns to tie the score 19-19. First, Ernest Harrington caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Al Holland Jr. in the third quarter, and Lloyd Davis scampered in from the 2-yard line with just under three minutes remaining in the game. The Colonels didn't convert either extra point.
Fleming tried an onside kick after tying the score, but Albemarle (3-2) recovered at the Fleming 49. The Patriots went on a nine-play drive that included a conversion on fourth and 10 at the Colonels' 37.
Lloyd Davis led Fleming with 120 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.

The Chargers' Michael Edwards intercepted a pass at the Highlanders' 11-yard line late in the third quarter to set up the winning touchdown in a Pioneer District game at Glenvar. K.C. Jones converted on the turnover, scoring on a 4-yard run as Bath County (5-0, 3-0) stayed unbeaten. Glenvar (1-5, 1-1) scored first when Mike Stanley hit Josh Harth for an 11-yard strike in the second quarter. The Chargers came back in the same quarter when Edwards scampered for a 7-yard touchdown. \

MONETA - The Knights rallied twice for their first victory, defeating the host Golden Eagles in a battle of previously winless Seminole District teams.
Staunton River (0-5, 0-5) led twice. Carlos Hurt's 10-yard run put the Golden Eagles ahead 12-8 with 7:54 left in the first half, but Buckingham scored with 6:02 left in the third quarter to lead 16-12. In the fourth quarter, Staunton River's Dwight Orange scored on a 1-yard run with 11:55 left, but Buckingham came back with a touchdown more than six minutes later. Staunton River failed on fourth and five from its 36, and Buckingham (1-5, 1-5) ran out the clock. \

George Washington-Danville overcame a sluggish start as a 76-yard Theomone Brooks touchdown run sparked the Eagles to a non-district victory over the host Knights. Brooks also scored on an 11-yard run and on a 5-yard pass from Nathan Poole. The Eagles (6-0) ran for 282 yards and tossed Cave Spring for minus-10 yards rushing. The Knights (0-5) stayed close in the first quarter, allowing only a 1-yard touchdown run by Pat Daly. Cave Spring was unable to mount any offensive threat with quarterback Jeff Lang sacked six times. \
