OBIT CUNNINGHAM, CHARLES HENRY
CUNNINGHAM, Charles Henry, 87, of 5183 Yellow Mountain Road, Roanoke,
passed away Thursday, October 7, 1993 at the home of a daughter. He was born
January 16, 1906 to the late Thomas and Susie Cunningham. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Ethel Cunningham, a son, Charles Cunningham, a daughter,
Peggy Buck, a granddaughter, Marsha Woods and a step son, Lloyd Simmons. He is
survived by four daughters, Lorraine Bare of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mary Dillon,
Barbara Wendell and Julia Webber, all of Roanoke; three sons and two
daughters-in-law, Thomas Cunningham of Roanoke, Clifton and Christine
Cunningham of Savannah, Ga., and Robert and Carolyn Cunningham of Roanoke; one
son in law, Bill Buck of Roanoke; 31 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren;
two nephews; two nieces including Bernice Shilling of Roanoke. Funeral
services will be conducted at Lotz Roanoke Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, October 11,
1993 with Rev. Tony Barnes of Penn Forest Church of God officiating. Interment
will be in Cunningham Family Cemetery, Roanoke County. Friends may call at
Lotz Roanoke Chapel Saturday and Sunday.
