OBIT MARTIN, SILAS H.

MARTIN, Silas H., 80, of Roanoke, died Thursday, October 7, 1993, in a Salem hospital. He was a member of the Waverly Place Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie A. Martin. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley M. and William D. Anderson of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Jennifer A. Pendleton and her husband, Douglas of Dover, Del.; Jeffrey A. Anderson, W. David Anderson Jr., both of Lynchburg; a brother, Garnett R. Martin of Riner; one sister, Louise M. Trump of Christiansburg. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Charles Hoffler officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
