RIMER-SMITH
Kara Lee Smith and William Robert Rimer were married October 2, 1993, in
Virginia Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Daniel E. Scott officiating. The
reception was held at The Inn at Burwell Place. The maid of honor was Kimberly
Smith, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Andrea Board and Lisa Gregory,
friends of the bride, and Susan Lincks, sister of the groom. The best man was
Steve Baker, friend of the groom. Ushers were Mike Lindell, Dan Klare and Jeff
Minnick, friends of the groom. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Jean B. Smith
of Roanoke and the late Mr. K. Madison Smith. She graduated from Cave Spring
High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. She is employed
by Chemtreat, Inc., Richmond, Va. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
F. Osterhaus of Roanoke and the late John William Rimer. He graduated from
Cave Spring High School, Nashville Auto Diesel College, and is currently
enrolled at J. Sargeant Reynolds C. C. in Richmond, Va. He is employed by
Unijax-Sloan, Richmond, Va. The newlyweds will live in Richmond after a
wedding trip to Bar Harbor, Maine.
