OBIT ELMORE, CLAUDE MASON

ELMORE, Claude Mason, ("Buster"), 66, of Newport, Va., died Tuesday morning, October 12, 1993, in a Blacksburg, Va. hospital. Born in Giles County, Va., he was a son of the late Fred Mason and Virgie Myrtle Songer Elmore. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Lee Elmore and a sister, Frances Louise Elmore. Surviving are one sister, Virginia "Jenny" Williams of Newport, Va.; four brothers, James L. "Jiggs" Elmore of Meadowview, Va., Carl E. "Jack Tuck" Elmore, Calvin S. "Cal or Shorty" Elmore and Kenneth "Kenny" Elmore, all of Beaver Dam, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 14, 1993 at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke, Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 Wednesday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the "Fairview Home" in Pulaski County, Va.
