Sam Ferguson led the Bulldogs' high-octane attack with 24 points. Keenya Hairston and Erica Brandon added 17 points each, and Tresita Holland and Jessica Burton had 11 each for Martinsville (10-1).
Laurel Park (8-6) got a game-high 27 points from Tanesha Hairston, but she failed to score in the fourth quarter, when the Bulldogs seized control. Torsheda Dillard added 21 points and Toy Perkins had 18.

RIDGEWAY - Balanced scoring offset a 34-point effort by Kim Rich as the Warriors cruised to a Piedmont District victory.
Five players scored in double figures for Magna Vista (12-2, 9-2), which led 23-3 after the first quarter and never looked back.
Rich had 27 points in the second half for Tunstall (3-10, 2-9).
James River 44\ Covington 23
COVINGTON - Stifling James River defense held Covington to three first-half points and the visiting Knights proceeded to the Pioneer District victory.
Teresa Hickman had 13 points from the low post and Kara Mundy added 10 from the outside for James River. The Cougars (4-8 overall, 4-2 in the district) had its worst half of the year. The Cougars scored only two less than James River in the second half.
\ Salem 62\ Rockbridge County 20
Heather Moore scored 12 points and Michele Brown came off the bench to add 10 as the Spartans rolled past the visiting Wildcats for a Blue Ridge District victory.
Salem (6-6) led 13-6 in the first quarter and coasted.
\ Lord Botetourt 62\ Alleghany 41
DALEVILLE - Ashley Moore scored a game-high 19 points to spark the Cavaliers to the Blue Ridge District victory over the Mountaineers.
Lord Botetourt (13-1, 3-0) outscored Alleghany (1-2 district) 18-7 in the third quarter to pull away.
\ Auburn 49\ Grayson County 39
INDEPENDENCE - The Eagles rallied in the second half to notch a Mountain Empire District victory.
Lori Lyons had 15 points, Sherry Smith 14 and Angie Simpkins 12 for Auburn (9-3, 9-3), which overtook the Blue Devils by outscoring them 30-17 in the second half.
Grayson County (1-11, 1-10) got a career-high 24 points from Tia Stuart.
\ Galax 60\ Rocky Gap 59
ROCKY GAP - Jaclyn Dickens intercepted a pass with four seconds left and scored the winning basket as the Maroon Tide won a Mountain Empire District game.
Dickens led Galax (9-2) with 21 points. Tammy Cox added 16 points and Lauren Spivey had 10.
Rocky Gap (7-7, 6-5) got 24 points from Nancy Tupper and 14 from Amanda Clark.
\ Fort Chiswell 50\ Shawsville 48
MAX MEADOWS - The Pioneers squandered a 10-point lead but held off the Shawnees to win a Mountain Empire District game.
Stephanie Felts had 12 points and Laura Beth Freeman added 10 for Fort Chiswell (6-7, 6-5).
Shawsville (7-6, 7-5) got 13 points from Robin Burdette and 11 from Kelley Ryan.
\ Bassett 74\ Fieldale-Collinsville 44
BASSETT - The Bengals, Timesland's top team, remained undefeated with the rout of visiting Fieldale-Collinsville in a Piedmont District game.
The Bengals (13-0 overall, 11-0 in the district) got a combined 18 points from Kim Hairston and Lori Wimbush as they stormed to a 34-19 halftime lead. Wimbush finshed with 20 points, Hairston had 19, Aimee Barker added 15 to leave her three shy of 1,000 for her career, and Lynettia Johnson chipped in 10. Yvonne Hall scored 13 for Fieldale-Collinsville.
\ Rural Retreat 42\ Castlewood 41
RURAL RETREAT - Tanya Tarter sank 15 of 19 shots from the free-throw line and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Indians edged the Blue Devils for a Hogoheegee District victory.
Tarter led Rural Retreat with 17 points and Cassie Phipps chipped in 10.

Lisa Garland and Stacy Green combined for 20 points in the third quarter as the Maroons took control and won a Hogoheegee District game.
Garland had 22 points and Green 18 for George Wythe (4-9, 2-7), which trailed 28-24 at halftime.

BUCKINGHAM - Kelly Worley scored 12 points and Amy Baxter added 11 as the visiting Minettes defeated the winless Bees in a Seminole District game.
