OBIT AUSTIN, RUTH E.
AUSTIN, Ruth E., 70, of Hillsville, died Tuesday, October 12, 1993, at Twin
County Community Hospital, Galax. She was born July 13, 1923 in Lerona, W.Va.
to Stephen V. Austin and Elizabeth Bolen Austin. She is survived by four
brothers and sisters-in-law, Lowell and Otella Austin, Athens, W.Va., Harold
and Verl Austin, North Ft. Myers, Fla., Homer and Mary Austin, Hillsville,
William and Martha Austin, Hillsville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be conducted Friday, October 15, 1993, 11 a.m. at the
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, with Dr. William Gunter officiating.
Burial in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady
Chapel, Hillsville.
