OBIT GRUBB, LENA BOLTON

GRUBB, Lena Bolton, 91, of Salem, died Friday, October 15, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Jackson Grubb and their son, Robert Albert Grubb. She was a member of First Christian Church in Salem since 1922 and a charter member of the Faith Rebekah Lodge #98 of Salem. She is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruie G. McKee, Pensacola, Fla., Gladys G. and Justin J. Bayse, Salem, Lottie G. and Richard W. Owen, Salem, and Lillie G. Starling, Martinsville; one daughter-in-law, Rosa P. Grubb, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Kate B. Parris and Nora B. Stewart, both of Salem, and Flora B. Ballard, Alexandria; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Salem, with the Rev. Wayne W. McCauley officiating. Burial will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Park.
