COOPER-HARRINGTON

Kirsten Harrington and JeffreyCooper were married October 9, 1993, in Grandin Court Baptist Church. Rev.Robert M. Hamner and Rev. Marie S. Bean performed the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Rick Nickelston. The reception was held at the Elks Club. The matron of honor wasSerina Gregory, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Halsey, friend of the bride, Pauline Nickelston, aunt of the bride, and Beverly Plaster, friend of the bride. Flowergirl was Tiffany Stevens, friend of the bride. The best man was Pete Saunders, friend of the groom. Ushers were Robert Johnston, the bride's stepfather, Dale McQuain, friend of the groom, and Jack Walley, uncle of the groom. Ringbearer was Christopher Manning. Program attendants were Angie and Larry Davids, cousins of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Margaret Crosier. The bride's gown was ivory satin embellished with beaded embroidered schiffli lace and a semi-cathedral train with a large bow at back waistline. The bride is a daughter of Carol Johnston and Charles Harrington, of Roanoke, Va. She graduated from Cave Spring High School, attended Va. Western Community College, and is employed by First Union Bank. The groom is a son of Mary Bolen, of Roanoke, Va. He graduated from William Byrd High School and is employed as assistant trainer with Terma-Gard. After the wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke, Va.
