GUERRANT-MELVIN

Martha Rose Melvin and DouglasGordon Guerrant were married on August 14, 1993, at The First United Methodist Church of Reno, Nevada. The bride is the daughter of Norman and Rachel Melvin, of Reno, Nevada. She graduated from Reno High School in Reno and from the University of Nevada, Reno, Reno, Nevada, with a Bachelor of Arts degree and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree. She is employed by Sears. The groom is the son of Dr. Doris Guerrant, of Roanoke, Va., and Samuel Saunders Guerrant, II, also of Roanoke, Va. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke and from Humbolt State University, Arcata, Calif., with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received a Master of Science degree in hydrogeology from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is employed by Broadbent & Associates. The matrons of honor were Ms. Leslie Anastassatos and Mrs. Keiko Weil. The best man was Tommy Leaver. Bridesmaids were Kenna Donley and Priscilla Guerrant. Ushers were John Van Balen, Bert Harig, and Bob Norstrand. After a honeymoon to Vermont and Virginia, they will be at home in Reno, Nevada.
