W&L WOMEN BEAT LYNCHBURG 2-1

Allison Warner scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give Washington and Lee a 2-1 victory over Lynchburg in a women's soccer match in Lexington.

Lynchburg led 1-0 at halftime, but Anne Spruill tied it for the Generals (8-4-1, 6-0-1 ODAC) early in the second half.

W&L and Randolph-Macon (7-0) play Friday in Ashland to decide the Old Dominion Athletic Conference champion.

Holly Culpeper had the lone goal as Ferrum (9-5) defeated Shenandoah 1-0 in a women's match in Ferrum. It was the seventh shutout of the season for the Panthers.

Ferrum and Shenandoah tied 1-1 in a men's match in Ferrum. Will Mihajlovits had Ferrum's goal in the first half. Steve Reynolds made 10 saves in goal for the Panthers (4-12-1).

Dustin Fonder scored with 3 1/2 minutes left in the game to give Roanoke College (15-2) a 1-0 men's victory over Emory University in Atlanta.

Jesse Barrington scored two goals and assisted on the other as Liberty defeated VMI 3-0 in a men's match in Lynchburg. The Keydets are 3-11-1.

Jason Entlich had two goals and assisted on the other as Virginia Tech defeated Marshall 3-0 in a men's match in Blacksburg. Brian Bulger tied a Tech record by recording his fifth shutout of the season for the Hokies (8-5-1).
