TOUR DE FRANCE GOING TO ENGLAND

The Tour de France will swing through England next year for the first time since 1974, using the soon-to-be-completed tunnel under the English Channel to get there.

The three-week race, the most famous in international cycling, will begin July 2 in the northern French city of Lille and head through the Eurotunnel three days later for two stages in England.

The final day, July 24, the race will start in Euro Disneyland and then head to Paris for the traditional closing loops along the Champs Elysees.
