OBIT GRAY, BEULAH HAIRFIELD

GRAY, Beulah Hairfield, 91, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, October 19, 1993, at her home. She was the widow of Louis F. Gray, a member of the Colonial Ave. Baptist Church and the Grace Ellis Sunday school class. She was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Eleanor Gravely Hairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Hazel A. Shephard; a stepson, James E. Angell; three brothers, Harry, Raymond and Authur; two sisters, Eunice H. Angell, and Ruth H. Locks. She is survived by two stepsons and their wives, Jim and Maxine Gray, Calabash, N.C., Cecil and Pat Gray, Marietta, Ga.; a sister and brother-in-law, Ethel H. and Rev. Dow N. McGrady; two brothers and their wives, Keith and Ellen Hamer Hairfield, all of Roanoke; Kenneth and Carrie Authur Hairfield, Newport-News; son-in-law, William B. Shephard; stepdaughter-in-law, Ann T. Angell; a number of nieces; and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Branan Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
