JR. WOMAN'S CLUB PLANS FUND-RAISER

The Blacksburg Junior Woman's Club will be at the Blacksburg Community Center during the Children's Penny Carnival Oct. 30 from 6-8 p.m. to raise funds for child abuse prevention. The slogan of the club's campaign is "Be a Lifesaver."

Club members will distribute Life Saver candies in return for donations to Virginians for Child Abuse Prevention, a statewide organization that coordinates child abuse prevention efforts across the commonwealth.
