CROP INSURANCE DATES EXTENDED

Crop insurance sale closing dates for farmers in Montgomery and Giles counties have been extended to Oct. 31 for wheat, barley, oats and rye.

Farmers applying for disaster benefits on any crop with a 1993 loss greater than 65 percent of expected production must purchase crop insurance on the 1994 crop.
