OBIT BAHNER, REV. PAUL TROUTMAN
BAHNER, Rev. Paul Troutman 85, of Richfield Retirement Community, Salem,
died Wednesday, October 20, 1993, in a local hospital. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Mary Bourquin Bahner. He was a native of Pennsylvania. Rev.
Bahner was a graduate of Albright College in Pa. and Union Theological
Seminary in New York. He was a former pastor of Churches in Palmerton, Pa.,
Ridgewood in Queens, N.Y., East Hampton in Long Island, N.Y. and Deer Park in
Long Island, N.Y. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Rev. and Mrs.
Farley Maxwell (Mary), Vancouver, Wash., Dr. and Mrs. Young Kang (Betty),
Roanoke; five granddaughters, Alison Kang Whitmire, Charlotte, N.C., Christie
Kang, Columbus, Ohio, Betsy Kang, Columbus, Ohio, Robin Maxwell Payment,
Seattle, Wash., and Anne Maxwell Hammond, Portland, Ore.; two
great-granddaughters, Mary and Katie Payment, Seattle, Wash., one
great-grandson, Matthew Paul Whitmire, Charlotte, N.C. Memorial services will
be held at First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30,
1993, with the Rev. Robert D. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in
Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to the Richfield Retirement Center.
