HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL PLANNED IN RADFORD

A Halloween costume contest and carnival will be held Oct. 30, 1:30 p.m. at the Radford Parks and Recreation Department on First Street. The contest will be held on the upper level tennis courts, and prizes will be awarded in several divisions.

In case of rain, the costume contest will be canceled.

The Halloween carnival will follow at 2 p.m. for ages 12 and younger. Those under 6 should be accompanied by an adult. Kids are invited to come in costume. Admission is $2 at the door. All games are free, and there will be prizes of toys and candy.

There also will be a haunted house. All proceeds go to the Radford University Recreation Club.
