OBIT CAMPBELL, SUE BALLARD
CAMPBELL, Sue Ballard, 91, of Roanoke, died Friday, October 8, 1993. She
was the widow of Frank B. Campbell. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Order of
the Eastern Star, Ocean City, N.J., Chapter 83, Daughters of the American
Revolution and the First Family of Virginia. She was an active member of the
Navy League during World War II, selling in excess of one million dollars in
war bonds, sponsoring a hospitality suite at 69th St., in Philadelphia and
receiving a citation from the Secretary of the Treasury. She is survived by
her daughter, June Campbell Rekas of Newtown Square, Pa.; three grandchildren,
Susan Lee Cianci, David M. Trotter, both of Newtown Square, Pa., John T.
Trotter of New Orleans, La.; great-grandchild, Christopher Campbell Cianci.
Viewing and visitation for family, friends, and relatives will be at Oakey's
North Chapel on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at Oakey's
North Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Monday,with the Rev. M. Dennis Herman officiating.
Interment will be in the Fair View Cemetery.
