OBIT PLOTT, ORA SAMUEL

PLOTT, Ora Samuel, 90, of Buena Vista, formerly of Rockbridge Co., died Thursday, October 21, 1993, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. Born September 27, 1903, in Rockbridge Co., he was the son of the late John Andrew and Elizabeth Evelena Hostetter Plott. Mr. Plott was a retired carpenter, and a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lonie Sarah Hartbarger Plott. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Paul Samuel Plott, Sr. and Estelle Plott of Lexington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Hazel Plott and Arthur Hinkle, Lexington, Helen Plott and Emmett Irvine, Lexington; special friend, Vera Knick, Lexington; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chip L. Pendleton and Rev. Will Hamric officiating, with burial to follow in New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Harrison Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of the children.
