BAND FESTIVAL TODAY IN DUBLIN

Pulaski County High School will host a State Marching Band Festival for the first time from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.

Twenty-two bands from the region and as far away as Richmond will participate, including the school's own Cougar Marching Band which will perform at 4:30 p.m.

General admission is $3; children ages 6-12 and senior citizens, $2, and children under age 6, free.

Wayne Carpenter, spokesman for the Pulaski County High School Band Boosters, said the group hopes to host the event on an annual basis.
