OBIT TOMASON, HOWARD WILSON

THOMASON, Howard Wilson, 66, of Moneta, passed away Thursday, October 21, l993. He was the son of the late Jessie Thomason and Kate Basham Thomason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wennie Thomason. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce (Kenneth) Blake of Moneta; seven sons, James Johnson, Howard (Ann) Thomason, Ricky Thomason, all of Roanoke, Marvin (Irene) Thomason, Mark Thomason, Dennis Thomason, all of Moneta and James Bonds of Washington, D.C.; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Earnestine (Joe) Gates, Goodview, Ruby Johnson, Moneta, Viola Duncan, Roanoke, Melva Dow and Frances Washington, both of Washington, D. C.; four brothers, Clay (Beverly) Thomason, Roanoke, Brady Thomason and Jessie Thomason Jr., both of Goodview, Glenn Thomason of Washington, D.C.; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Johnson; sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Johnson, Moneta; brothers-in-law, Hubert Johnson, Moneta and Osborne Watson, Roanoke; two aunts, Elsie Calloway and Lucille Thompson, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be Monday, October 25, l993 at 2 p.m at Promiseland Baptist Church, Moneta. Rev. Harvey Penn will officiate with interment in Hurts Gate Cemetery, Moneta. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 24, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home, Roanoke.
