The owners of Tiit did not say how much they planned to pay Jordan in the unlikely event he accepted. But his salary would probably match the country's GNP.
Diana Ross, out and about selling her autobiography, "Secrets of a Sparrow," drops a bombshell on today's Oprah Winfrey TV show that isn't even in the book: That the oldest of her three daughters, Rhonda Suzanne, was fathered by Motown founder Berry Gordy, who fashioned the singer's rise to stardom.
It's been a long and winding road, but Paul McCartney and the other surviving members of the Beatles might just play together again, but only in a documentary being made for British television.
McCartney says he started playing old Beatles tunes again after he realized that other bands were having success covering them. "I discovered that they are still fresh and interesting. It was like learning them all over again," he said before a concert in Florence, Italy. McCartney wrote most of the band's songs with John Lennon, who was slain in 1980.
No date has been set for the release of the Beatle documentary.
High fashion model Beverly Johnson, who in 1974 was the first black on the cover of Vogue magazine, is still fuming that that historic event was omitted from the magazine's 1992 book, "On the Edge: Images From 100 Years of Vogue."
She has written a letter to Vogue's owner, Si Newhouse, to complain. "[I was] proud to be the Jackie Robinson of the fashion world," she wrote. "To ignore that moment in history is to discredit all African American contributions in fashion and as a people."
