OBIT TEASS, NORMA JEAN
TEASS, Norma Jean, 58, of Route 4, Moneta, died Sunday, October 24, 1993,
in a Roanoke Hospital. She was born in Roanoke on July 3, 1935, a daughter of
Jessie Mae Stump Gross and Thomas Lester Johnson. She, along with her husband,
owned and operated the Campers Paradise Campground, Marina and Restaurant. In
addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Leo Walker Teass;
three sons, David A. Teass, Daniel E. Teass, Donald "Dee" Teass, all of
Bedford; one daughter, Dreamer T. Walton, Bedford; three brothers, Roger W.
Johnson, Gerald L. Johnson, Donald E. Johnson, all of Roanoke; two
sisters-in-law, Joan Teass Robbins of Bedford and Jennie Teass Allman,
Virginia Beach; five granddaughters, Daphne M. Teass, Lynchburg, Melissa R.
Teass, Nikki R. Guerin, Morgan E. Teass, Marina K. Walton, all of Bedford; one
grandson, David W. Teass, Bedford; very many special friends. Funeral service
will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel
with the Rev. Ray Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Bedford County Recreation Department, 780 Bedford
Avenue Ext. Bedford, VA 24523. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:30
p.m. Tuesday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
