MUSEUM PLANS OPEN HOUSE

The area's own legendary and notorious "three sisters in black" will visit the "Happy Halloween Open House" Sunday, 1:30-4:30 p.m., at Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Regional Art Center, 300 S. Pepper St.

The sisters' story recently has been retold in a new book, "The Mysteries of Ghostly Vera" by Charles Edwin Price, which will be on sale at the museum gift shop.

There also will be refreshments and stories.

Members of the Montgomery Chapter of the New River Historical Society, which is sponsoring the open house, will meet briefly at 2 p.m.

Sunday also is the last day of Pat Ernst Bevan's art exhibit, "Pastels and Monotypes."

The museum will close for the winter at 4:30 p.m.

Call Ann Bailey at 382-2298.
