CORRIGAN, EX-W&L STAR GET HONOR

Former Washington and Lee standout Ernest "Skip" Lichtfuss and Atlantic Coast Conference commissioner Gene Corrigan are among 12 individuals elected to the Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Lichtfuss was a first-team All-America performer for the Generals in 1973 and '74. Corrigan was an honorable-mention All-America at Duke in 1950-51. He was head coach at Washington and Lee from 1955-58 and was head coach at the University of Virginia from 1958-67.

Corrigan also was athletic director at W&L and Virginia.

They join 10 others as 1993 inductees into the Hall of Fame, bringing the total number of members to 213.
