OBIT BROWN, LUTHER HARRISON

BROWN, Luther Harrison, 67, of Roanoke, died Monday, October 25, 1993, in a local hospital. He was a retired employee of the Webster Brick Co. Surviving are his wife, Annie Madine Evans Brown; three sons, James Walker Brown, Bedford County, Larance Harrison Brown, Edward Lewis Brown, both of Roanoke; three daughters, Willie Gertrude Helms, Monroe, N.C., Mary Kathern Lang, Ellen Virginia Hayes, both of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Brown, Roanoke; sister, Mallissie Bramlett, Montvale; four stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Edward E. Shepherd officiating. Interment will be at the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bedford County. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
