OBIT WELCH, SUSAN KAY

WELCH, Susan Kay, 47, of Route 1, Bedford, died suddenly Sunday, October 24, 1993. She was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service. She is survived by her husband, Carl Allen Welch; her parents, Lois Parker of Oregon and William Strickland of Kentucky; a daughter, Melissa E. Logan, of Little River, S.C.; two sons, Skip A. Logan of Little River, S.C. and Carl Allen Welch, II of Bedford; a stepdaughter, Shannon Parker of Bedford; her mother-in-law, Stella Welch of Roanoke; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Williamson of Montvale and Pam Meador of Roanoke and one stepgranddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 29, 1993, 11 a.m. at Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Dallas Bennett officiating. Friends may call anytime Thursday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
