OBIT WOOLDRIDGE, MINNIE SARVER

WOOLDRIDGE, Minnie Sarver, 84, of Elliston, died Monday, October 25, 1993, at Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem. Mrs. Wooldridge was born in Montgomery County, on January 8, 1909, to the late James Daniel and Christina Austin Sarver. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Eugene Wooldridge and a daughter, Ora Mae Arnold. Surviving are two daughters, Glenna Hogan, Bedford, Wanda Overstreet, Hardy; four sons, Ray Wooldridge, Roanoke, Lewis Wooldridge and Eddie Wooldridge, both of Elliston, Wayne Wooldridge, Salem; two sisters, Eva Snider, Blacksburg, Pearl McPherson, Catawba; one brother, James Sarver, Blacksburg; a special friend, Kathleen Gray, Elliston; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 28, in Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
