Pianist Andrew Armstrong of New Caanan, Conn., the 1993 National Federation of Music Club's Young Artist winner, will perform Nov. 4 during the Thursday Morning Music Club's meeting.
The 10:30 a.m. program at Cave Spring Baptist Church is free. Patricia P. Boots, president of the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs, will be the honored guest.
Armstrong, 19, is a student at Columbia University and has appeared in recitals at Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, Yale University, the Moscow Conservatory in Japan, and in Mexico. He was one of six Americans performing in the 1993 Van Cliburn competition and earned an award given to the most promising artist of the future.
