OBIT-FIDLER, JAMES E., ("JIMMY")
FIDLER, James E., ("Jimmy"), 34, of Roanoke, died October 27, 1993, in a
local hospital. He was a member of the Riverdale Baptist Church, Melrose Lodge
#139 AF & AM and the Blue Ridge Sky Divers Incorporated of Moneta. He was an
employee of Johnson Controls. Surviving are his wife, Ocie P. Fidler; sons,
Brian James Fidler and Jason Scott Dawson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mervin T.
Fidler; sisters, Linda Lawson, Nita S. Fidler, Audrey L. Kinsley, all of
Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted
from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 1993, with the
Rev. Bob Lanier and the Rev. T. G. Ayers officiating. Burial with Masonic
graveside services conducted by Melrose Lodge #139 AF & AM will be in Blue
Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
