\ LANCE CPL. TIMOTHY S. DREWRY, son of Roger W. and Mary A. Drewry of 2842 Huff St., has been deployed to Somalia aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.
Drewry is a 1991 graduate of William Byrd High School.
\ MARINE PVT. ROBERT S. HALL, son of Robert M. and Lois Y. Hall of 3528 Leffel Road, recently completed recruit training. He is a 1992 graduate of Cave Spring High School.
\ PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS MARK A. ELLIOT, whose wife, Karen, is the daughter of Dave and Cheryl Crook of 3881 Vauxhall Road S.W., recently returned from a six-month Mediterranean, Adriatic and Red Sea deployment aboard the USS Hue City.
\ PFC. CARYL J. DUARTE, daughter of Frank M. and Kay M. Duarte, has completed a basic training course at Marine Corps Service Support Schools at Camp Lejeune, N.C. She is a 1992 graduate of Cave Spring High School.
\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS ROGER W. COOK, son of Stella M. Duncan of 1702 Rutrough Road S.E., recently participated in a decommissioning ceremony aboard the USS Forrestal. He is a 1989 graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
\ MICHAEL L. BOZEMAN, an Army Reserve colonel, has been appointed assistant division commander of the 80th Training Division. Bozeman, a coach at Virginia Military Institute, formerly commanded the Division's 2nd Brigade in Salem.
Boseman, who has 26 years of military service, entered the Army Reserve in 1970 and has been assigned to the 80th Division since 1986. He is a former chief of the Combat Arms Division for the 80th Maneuver Training Command in Richmond and a former platoon leader with the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry in Vietnam. He also commanded the 4th Infantry's Division 3rd Brigade Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol and was an instructor at the Mountain Ranger Camp, Dahlonega, Ga.
