CIVIL WAR DESCENDANTS' GROUP BEING ORGANIZED

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War have formed the Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain Camp chapter in the Roanoke Valley.

Membership is open to male descendants, 14 years and older, of honorably discharged Union Army, Navy and Marine Corps veterans. Nationwide, the organization participates in Civil War-related activities.
