Workshop planned

``Ways Churches Can Strengthen the Spiritual Life of Members'' will be the theme of a workshop Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cave Spring United Methodist Church, 4505 Hazel Drive S.W. Participants are to bring bag lunch and Bible and notebook. For more information, call Ruth Reynolds at 380-3147. The workshop will offer ways to bring a sense of God's presence into daily life at home and in work and church settings.

Nominations sought

Worldwide Marriage Encounters, an international organization fostering better communication between husbands and wives, is conducting its annual search for the longest-married couple.

Last year three couples married 80 years each took the honors.

Nominations of those married 60 years or longer should be sent to Tom and Jasmine Schultz, P.O Box 7068, Reston, VA 22091. Entries must include the couples' names, address, phone number, number of years married, date and location of marriage, each spouse's age, and the numbers of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The person making the nomination also should include his or her name, address, telephone number and relationship to the nominees.
