BLAND-HAYNES

Melani Fleming Haynes and Tony Raymond Bland were married October 23, 1993, at Red Lion Inn, Blacksburg, with the Rev. Jimmy O. Cannaday ofMartinsville, the bride's uncle, officiating. The reception was held at the Red Lion Inn in Blacksburg. The matron of honor was Shannon M. Dooley, friend of the bride. The best man was Darrell Jones, friend of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Jennifer L. Benfield. The bride wore a long sleeved ivory gown with lace and pearl bodice, floor-length chiffon skirt and rosettes in back. She carried a bouquet of silk magnolias with greeneucalyptus and red leaf accents. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Haynes of Blacksburg. She is a graduate of Blacksburg High School, New River Community College, and RadfordUniversity. She is employed by Wades Supermarket in Blacksburg. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond D. Bland of Christiansburg. He is a graduate of Christiansburg High School and attended New River Community College. He isemployed by Wades Supermarket in Blacksburg. The newlyweds will live in Christiansburg.
