Susan Elizabeth Spann andChristopher Louis Winstead were united in marriage on October 16, 1993 inDerbyshire Baptist Church in Richmond, Va. Dr. William David Sapp and Dr. James Richard Copeland were theofficiating clergymen. The reception was held at Country Club of Virginia.

Miss Amy Grove Smith of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, served as maid of honor. Joseph Carroll Winstead served as his son's best man.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gene Spann of Richmond, Va. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and Roanoke Memorial Hospital School of Medical Technology, and is employedby Rockingham Memorial Hospital.The groom is the son of Mrs. Geraldine H. McDaniel of Roanoke, Va. and Joseph Carroll Winstead of New Castle, Va. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and isemployed by the Virginia Department of Highways.

The newlyweds live in Harrisonburg.
