SO?!!

Winners of the McGruff Coloring Contest, in which entrants were asked to color McGruff, the Crime Dog, and submit a crime prevention tip, have been selected.

They are: Ashley McKinnon of Hillsville, J.C. Chauncey of Roanoke and Katie Giles of Vinton in the ages 3-5 category; Gerald Ray Goad of Galax, Jessi Young of Roanoke and Katie Marie Creed of Roanoke in the 6-7 category; and Lauren Weinerth of Danville, Amy Moore of Martinsville, Diane Petersen of Salem and Clay Murray of Roanoke in the 8-11 category.

In the 12-year-old division, the winners are Tiffany Brown, David Wolfe and Katie Rude of Roanoke. Receiving honorable mention were Mary Darby, John Flannagan, Andrea Martin and Adam Childers of Roanoke.

Winners in the 13-year-old division are Ann Blair Hanes, Johnny Spradlin and Rob Jennings of Roanoke. Trey Missimer of Roanoke received honorable mention.

First-place winners in all categories received a $50 savings bond. Other winners received prizes donated by Leggetts of Tanglewood Mall.
